Absolutely fascinating -

There are many experiments using music and plants. Some fascinating results. A book was published called "The Secrete Life of Plants". Also I recall a number of years ago Carte Blanch doing a program on music and its influence on plants.

There are several experiments that come to mind. One was interesting - in the same valley with the same soil and the same water two fruit farmers grew the same crop. The only difference - one farmer played music in his fields the other did not. The music was baroque music - Bach, Handel and Vivaldi.

The crops grown to music far outgrew those that did not receive music.

But music to carp - mmmmmm .... might just try that.

Regards,
Chris

A comment from a gentleman whose advice I seek frequently -

Hi Chris

Extremely poor study. Duplicate per treatment with fish of completely different initial weights, very poor growth rates.
This study makes no sense.

Best regards,

Dom

They are using weight rather than length as the unit to measure the fish.confused

In a "music tank" fish stay together at one corner and don't swim around, by mean fish don't have any exercise. So, of course they will have a greater weight because they hold up fat inside there body.

And the opposite happened to the "No music tank", fish swim around and do have exercise. So, less fat in there body. Result in weight less.

So, if you want to have fat koi. Evil or Very Mad Than play music for them to listen.Twisted Evil

So, i assume this work well for commercial fish farming. Because they sale their fish according to weight.

I am just sharing my opinion, so if i said anything that you think is wrong please forgive me.Embarassed

Thanks.
